I am surprised their are no reviews for this AMP yet. I have had this amp for a month now, and it only seems to get better. Lessons learned!!!
-Remember this amp is not a toy. It consumes a lot of power. If you have a small car, do get a H/O Alternator, or at least a capacitor.
-Use the right wire kit also. I used the kits from my previouse DHD amp, and blew fuses like crazy. 0 Guage wire is best, and 300ma fuse.
-this amp protects itself. If it gets to hot, is wired wrong, or if it is sucking to much juice from your car it will let you know.
I hooked mines up to a JL W7 and wow!!! The morer I listen the better it gets. It's like the speaker and amp start to form a bond with one another. At first the bass was massive and harsh, but now it has smoothed out and very pleasant. In my opinion you get more than what you pay for with this combo. The only thing that could have made this amp better to me is if the remote one came with the amp, and if the remote had the power and alarm lights on it. |

| Unstoppable, untoppable and most probable to succeed!...That's what JL Audio Slash Series amps are. I have never had one fail me yet. They take a multitude of impedance variations without a hitch. They pound out the wattage like they owe someone money. They look great, they're well respected, thay even have their own fan club of loyal fans....They have never sold out to the cheap crowd and they always perform when needed. What more could you ask for....oh, and did I tell you that they tend to be under-rated by 25-30% at a minimum when it comes to their advertised power....oh and oh so clean is the output. Purity in it's best form...if you want some then get some...JL Audio Amps - Slash Series. I currently own (2) 1000/1 v2's and (2) 450/4 v2's as well. They power my (2) JL 13W7's and my (2) sets of Focal 165K2P component sets...with my Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT multimedia/nav head unit. nuff said! |
