Can't go wrong for the money on these!

I bought two pair of these JVC speakers ( 4 speakers total ) for my project. I built a custom desk for my new office and used a factory Ford AM FM radio deck. I used these for the front and rear speakers. For the money, these speakers have excellent clarity and a very nice appearance. I mainly liked them for the all black grille covers. I didn't want those crazy wild colors for my application ( stained Oak background ). The price was right, shipping was free, had them in a week or so. I am not a huge bass fan. I like more treble for sound, but the bass does seem good quality in these speakers. At about a quarter volume, you can hear music very clearly and loudly. I didn't notice any distortion or hissing noises. Note this install is in a building and not automotive. I would not hesitate, however, to put a set of these in my vehicle. Again, for the money, you can't go wrong. JVC is a good brand and these speakers work well..

I'm not a hardcore audiophile or anything but I think these sound great! I have a "beater" van. I had these installed in the dash to replace the old factory ones whick were fried. The factory speakers in the back of the van are still intact. For most people, these should do the trick.

I put these JVC speakers in the door of my truck, granted are only 5.25" but compared to my old 6"? factory speakers the base sounded pretty weak.
