| I love it, I got four head units before this one, is the only one that plays my ipod and iphone with no problem. Pretty fast reading the usb from iphone or ipod. Great for Pandora or any radio station you like playing on your iphone. |
Great upgrade from stock radio!

This is my first radio replacement (11 years after purchasing my car) so obviously it is a great upgrade. I love the remote and I love the stylish look of the radio. Great buy so far!
Install was easy with my car's harness kit and I even added a powered subwoofer to complete the system. Install was fairly easy as everything was properly labeled and color coded. |
Nice features, works well with iPhone

I bought this unit as a replacement after my previous stereo was stolen. I was looking for a unit with a good iPhone interface, and this one fits the bill. I've previously connected my iPhone to car stereos with a standard AUX input or FM transmitter. The USB interface is much better. Not only does it allow you to control the iPhone from the head unit, it also eliminates the annoying GSM noise (that series of buzzing sounds you hear when your phone is too close to a pair of speakers) that I heard with my old stereo. Out of the box, the unit is configured to disable control of the iPhone via the phone's touch screen when connected, in order to encourage safe driving. This can be overridden using the "Passenger Control" feature. However, I would strongly recommend buying a dashboard mount for you iPhone before using this feature, to avoid distracted driving.
The selectable blue/green illumination was also helpful, as I found the blue setting to be a bit too bright for my taste.
My one complaint is that the faceplate is difficult to put back on once removed, but this can be overcome with practice. |
hard to beat for the money!

| this is a very nice unit! sound quality is really good but thats not surprising being that sony is one of the few with 120db signal to noise ratio on cd playback. any stereo can use more power but this thing fill the cab of my dodge ram 1500 with plenty of sound. and it handles the slamming bass of disturbed and breaking benjamin just fine! may not be good enough for people that listen to rap music? but luckily i don't have to worry about that problem lol! lets just say it blows away the $170 pioneer that it is replacing. it doesn't have the paremetric eq like the pioneer but with the better sound quality from the sony i don't need it. now comes the tricky part? to find an antenna adapter for my truck! that ought to be fun! i hope walmart does not let me down! cuz right now i have no radio. which i seldom listen to anyway but you never know when i might need to? if a wealthy guy bought this stereo and added a couple of amp and a couple of 12" subs this thing would be unstoppable. but for us poor folk with factor speakers and no subs it gets the job done just fine too. so buy it you won't be sorry! :oP |
Awesome stereo..

| I bought this back in February. This is the best car stereo I've seen/used. The usb connects to my ipod and my Android phone with no issues. Best purchase I've made for my truck in a while. |
